  • Tatar dishes were the stars of the Romanian Village Day at the Bread Fair.

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, members of the Women’s Organization of the Democratic Union of Turkish-Muslim Tatars of Romania attracted visitors to the Romanian Village Day event, held as part of the “Bread Fair” at the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum.

The culinary exhibition, organized by the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in collaboration with the Department of Interethnic Relations, brought together representatives of various national minorities. The participants’ main goal was to present culinary traditions, with bread as the central symbol of the Romanian village.

Visitors were able to sample traditional Tatar dishes, which were highly appreciated and in demand, highlighting the rich cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Tatar community.

The event served as an opportunity to promote cultural diversity and preserve the traditions of national minorities in Romania.
