Crimean Fertility Day – Derviza

On September 20 at 3:00 PM, the Qırım Bereket Bayramı (Derviza) festival will take place in Altdorf bei Nürnberg, at Burg Grünsberg Castle.

Traditionally, Crimeans celebrated this day with folk games, fairs, and competitions. On this day, young people competed in stone throwing. While throwing the stone, they would say, “May the dark days return when the stone returns.”
